Landplan LA, owned and operated by Simon Mahar, was established in 2016, backed by over 20 years industry experience locally and throughout North Queensland. Landplan LA has quickly grown to become the leading landscape architecture firm operating in Cairns.

Simon leads and collaborates on projects from the initial brief and broad scale planning, through to detailed design, documentation and administration. Simon’s experience includes working in remote communities throughout Cape York and the Torres Strait and has worked extensively on projects from streetscape, open space planning and urban design to project managing large commercial landscape projects for the private sector such as parklands, and residential estates.

The Landplan LA philosophy is to approach every project individually and to develop innovative and thoughtful design concepts and solutions which utilise, respond to, and promote a site’s natural character and assets.
